The programme will offer a wide range of key perks that assist the students financially and eliminate obstacles while studying. Here are some significant benefits offered by the PPS Foundation Bursary programme:
- Students will receive tuition fees.
- Textbooks will also be provided.
- Meals and accommodation will be covered.
- Students will also have access to other resources to alleviate the challenges of the learning and teaching experience.
- Bursary recipients in their first year of study will be required to attend on-campus contact support sessions facilitated by the PPS Foundation at specific times throughout the year.
- Bursary recipients must submit their results as soon as they are received at the end of each semester to continue receiving funding.
What are the Eligibility Criteria for the PPS Foundation Bursary South Africa?
An interested student must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the PPS Foundation Bursary programme. The criteria are as follows:
- Students must be a South African citizen and have completed their Matric, or currently be in Matric.
- Students must have obtained a minimum overall average of 65%.
- Students must be studying or enrolled full-time at a recognised tertiary institution (university or university of technology) in South Africa.
- Students must have showcased academic excellence.
- Students must be in financial need.
- Students’ household income must not exceed R1.2 million per annum.
- Preference will be given to students pursuing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) degrees.
What documents do I need for the PPS Foundation Bursary South Africa 2027?
- Identity document (certified copy – not older than 3 months)
- Certified certificate/result statement (certified copy) if certificate is not available
- Complete academic record to date, including recent transcripts (on the institution’s letterhead) if currently studying
- Proof of registration for the current academic year (on institution’s letterhead)
- Financial statement from the university student finance department
- Proforma invoice for prescribed books
- Rent agreement if residing in private accommodation
- Proof of household income of parents or guardians (latest pay slip if employed/affidavit if unemployed/proof of grant or pension if applicable/death certificate if deceased)
