UBC International Scholars Program: The University of British Columbia (UBC) is now offering a scholarship program to outstanding international students from around the world. Applicants who are truly interested in pursuing their undergraduate degree at one of Canada’s most renowned and indigenous universities are highly encouraged to apply.
The main intent of the program is for students with exceptional academic achievement, leadership, community involvement, and significant financial need. In addition, it is a need-based and merit-based financial scholarship program; this means that this program will cover the essential costs of your studies as determined by the University of British Columbia (UBC).

The following degrees are not eligible for UBC International Scholars Program awards:
- Bachelor of Nursing degrees (Okanagan and Vancouver)
- Bachelor of Dental Science in Dental Hygiene
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science
- Bachelor of Science + Bachelor of Management degrees
- Dual degrees, joint degrees between UBC Okanagan and UBC Vancouver, and joint degrees with other post-secondary institutions.

Eligibility Criteria for the UBC International Scholars Program 2027
The applicants must meet all of these requirements to be eligible for the program:
- You must be an international student who will be studying in Canada on a Canadian study permit.
- You must be applying for your first undergraduate degree.
- You must be entering UBC directly from an accredited secondary school.
- Applicants for the winter 2027 session must have graduated from high school before June 2026.
